Compared with school education and home education, camp education is a type of social education model, which has now become an indispensable extracurricular activity and experience for children. This kind of experiential learning has an excellent effect on physical and mental health development of adolescents. Through the creative nature of camping activities, and the firsthand experience from natural environments, the summer camp can promote values such as safety awareness, creativity, mutual caring and responsibility.
In 1922, Harvard President Charles W. Eliot once said: “Camp education is one of the most important contributions of the United States to the global education system.” The purpose of camp education is to encourage and guide children to explore and discover their potentials and further broaden their horizons, build confidence, improve character and enhance core competitiveness.
Over the years, EVI has worked hard to create three major theme camps in Los Angeles (the US), Cambridge (the UK) and Brisbane (Australia). It has more than a dozen classic camping lines focuses around its core mission of “cultivating a global citizen with independent personality”. EVI has always used experiential teaching as the core concept in overseas camps and closely integrated with school curriculums into activities.
