Hosting an EVI student can be a fabulous and rewarding experience, bringing new and fascinating cultures into your home, and giving you the opportunity to share your culture with someone who is eager to learn what it is like to live in the United States. Hosting an EVI student means learning, teaching, and above all, forming bonds of friendship and understanding. Hosting an exchange student often means you will find that you have added a wonderful new member to your family. 

The EVI Program stresses that host families should live as the hearts of exchange students' overseas experience and offer them the chances to share in a different culture through personal involvements in the homes, schools and communities of their host countries.
